The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation (Chamber Foundation) serves 10 public and 2 private schools in South Baldwin County: Elberta Elementary School, Elberta Middle School, Elberta High School, Foley Elementary School, Foley Intermediate School, Foley Middle School, Foley High School, Magnolia School, Saint Benedict Catholic School, Snook Christian Academy, Summerdale School, and Swift School. Since 2003, we have provided financial support, student programs, and classroom grants to enrich education, develop leadership, and better our community.

Baldwin County has 9,727 adult residents that have yet to achieve a high school diploma. Coastal Alabama regularly serves this population through classes at multiple sites throughout the county including Gulf Shores, Foley, Bay Minette, Fairhope, Silverhill and Seminole.

March was a true test of Baldwin County’s community to show our resiliency and ingenuity. We have championed for others, though possibly in distress ourselves, created new ways of “doing business,” and even found new revenue generators that may continue well after the smoke has cleared. We are Baldwin Strong!

As mayor, I wanted to provide you with a status update with regard to the Covid-19 virus. I know all of you have been tracking progress of the virus, monitoring actions taken by the federal government to respond to the effects of the pandemic, and have been adhering to the requirements identified in the Governor’s Stay at Home order.

There is one theme that runs true in every conversation I have with our community’s leaders, and that is how fortunate we all are to work in an area where “collaboration” is the norm, not the exception.
